It rained Traegerites on Tuesday, October 13th in Tooele, Utah when our CEO, Jeremy Andrus led the charge to make bold choices and forge ahead in the name of one of our company’s core values: Stand in the Fire.
Stand in the Fire means never feeling afraid to disrupt, take a risk, or push limits, even in the face of failure. Greatness was never achieved playing it safe, or hanging around in your comfort zone (or on the ground). Greatness starts with a spark from within that catches and grows into an uncontainable inferno.
Over 30 Traeger employees took to the sky to start #TraegerWeek off with a bang. They leapt from 13,500 feet in a death-defying free fall for upwards of 60 seconds—a literal leap of faith. These brave souls felt an exhilarating rush of adrenaline as the wind whipped through their hair and supported the weight of their body, at one with gravity.
For a split second, they could fly, and the whole wide world got a little bit smaller until the parachute cradled them to safety. That’s the beauty of taking a risk. You get that surge of energy during a moment of fear, and that’s when the magic happens. If you surrender to greatness, sky’s the limit. When asked to comment on the event, Andrus said, "Some companies have sales meetings. We jump out of planes."
